Anyone looking for a truck driving job opportunity in the state of Arizona must pass the complete gamut of Arizona CDL requirements. These requirements will lead to the commercial driver’s license, allowing operation in the state.

Those who apply for an Arizona commercial driver’s license must provide multiple pieces of information. Arizona licensing information required includes a physical examination report, a social security card, and a valid driver’s license. This driver’s license must have been valid for at least one year prior to the date of application.

Arizona CDL Requirements also include the usual battery of tests. A knowledge test must be passed to move onto the final basic skills test. The knowledge test covers information found in the free Arizona CDL manual.  Unlike other states, Arizona will not provide vehicles for the skills portion of the test. Anyone looking to meet Arizona CDL requirements must set up vehicle usage through the Department of Motor Vehicles for the state.

General Arizona re-licensing information to take note of is the year grace period. Those who have had an expired license for over 1 year will need to take the test again. While those who have had the expired license for less than one year may not be asked to re-take tests, a road test may be required at any time.
