Looking to find a trucking job in Nebraska? You need to understand all Nebraska licensing information to make sure that you pass all of the Nebraska CDL requirements. Those who are applying for this specific license will need to make sure that they are 18 years of age. Those who wish to transport hazardous materials and those who wish to cross state lines will need to be 21 years of age or older.

Applicants will be expected to provide proof of social security number and a birth certificate at the time of application. Nebraska CDL requirements also require proof of name. After this information has been obtained, applicants will be administered a vision test and a written exam. Applicants should study from the Nebraska CDL Manual for their written exam.  Upon completion and passing, applicants will take a driving test that will test pre-trip inspection, driving skills, and a basic road test.

Those who have let their CDL expire for one year or longer will be expected to retake all CDL tests. Nebraska re-licensing information states that everyone must go through a new vision test and may have to provide a new physical every renewal period.
