Currently, we are hiring professional drivers with at least six months of recent solo, OTR driving experience.

Melton is an irregular route flatbed carrier serving the U.S., Canada, and Mexico and has been providing shippers with consistent, on-time transportation services since 1954. No flatbed experience? We will train you during orientation!

Driver Requirements:

• At least 21 years of age
• A valid CDL Class A from the state you reside in
• You must meet all applicable D.O.T. regulations (including a D.O.T. physical and NIDA approved drug screen administered by Melton's company physician)
• At least 6 months of solo over the road driving.
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• No more than 1 "D.O.T. Reportable" in the last 3 years
• No B.A.C.s, D.U.I.s, or D.W.I.s, in the last 5 years.
• No felonies within the last 7 years.
• Must pass an integrity interview and meet Melton's work attendance and availability requirements
• No suspensions resulting from points or tickets in the last 3 years
• No more than 7 jobs within the past 3 years
• Misdemeanors will be considered on a case by case basis.
