Nationwide Transportation, Inc. is an Omaha, NE asset-based transportation and logistics provider of both refrigerated and dry freight to the food service, manufacturing and warehousing industries. Our area of operations includes all 48 states with a primary focus in the central United States including the Midwest, Ohio Valley and Southeastern states. We also service extensively the east coast states of New York, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. Our average length of haul of 900 miles affords us the ability to maximize our turnaround thus holding to a minimum dead-head mileage. This not only benefits our customers with more consistent on-time deliveries, but also benefits our drivers as they spend less time waiting for loads and more of their time behind the wheel.

Nationwide’s trailer fleet consists of 240 units from various manufacturers including Great Dane, Utility, and Wabash. Our trailer pool is comprised of 144 refrigerated and 96 dry-van units. All refrigerated trailers are equipped with the latest Thermo King units and our entire trailer fleet is air-ride equipped. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that we have installed the latest technology in Global Location System (GLS) tracking in our entire fleet of trailers. We now have the ability to know precisely where every trailer is at any specific moment. This enhancement, coupled with our existing Global Positioning System (GPS) dual-mode satellite/cellular mobile communications technology in our tractor fleet, drastically improves our ability to communicate with and locate every one of our transportation assets.

Customers have been retained by quality of service, price-sensitive competitive rates, and high levels of performance. Our diversified freight volume avoids seasonal fluctuations in freight revenues. The majority of freight is hauled for Fortune 500 customers in the food processing and manufacturing industries to transport raw goods and finished products for distribution to end users.

In an ongoing effort to meet the growing demands of our customers, Nationwide utilizes select drop trailer locations. These are determined on an individual customer basis, which allows our load planners and dispatchers to better service our customers.
