Barr-Nunn Transportation currently has opening for both Owner Operators and Company Drivers. We offer Over-the-Road, Regional and Hometime fleets in different areas throughout the Eastern half of the United States.

Barr-Nunn has also recently created a Lease PURCHASE Program for drivers looking for an honest way to lease a truck they can actually own in less than 28 months. There are no credit checks and no balloon payments at the end. This program does require a small down payment, but very little is required up front out of your pocket.

Barr-Nunn has extended its OTR hiring area to include a 25-mile radius of Detroit, MI (along with all areas South of I-94 in MI). We are also now hiring from the states of Mississippi and Arkansas (within 75 miles of Memphis, TN) for over-the-road positions.

Syracuse, NY (25-mile radius) and locations along I-81 from Scranton, PA to Syracuse are now eligible for our Northeast Regional fleet. This includes Binghamton, NY and Corland, NY as well as Scranton, PA.

Savannah, GA (25-mile radius) has also been added to our hiring area for Southeast Regional.

* Starting OTR Base Pay up to $.39 per Practical mile
-Base Pay for OTR with Hazmat is, $.39 - $.41 per Practical mile

Company Driver Band Pay:
* 401 – 550 miles = $.41 per practical mile
* 301 – 400 miles = $.42 per practical mile
* 201 – 300 miles = $.43 per practical mile
* 101 – 200 miles = $.49 per practical mile
* 001 – 100 miles = $.88 per practical mile

* $312.50 Appreciation Bonus every 60,000 miles for Company Drivers
* Owner Operators: Performance bonuses totaling $3200 for the first 120,000 miles and $3900 every 120,000 mile increment thereafter. Bonuses will be paid to owners in equal installments ($800 or $975) every 30,000 miles!
* New Company Driver Sign On Bonus = $1000, $250 on first check and $750 after 90 days - Valid Through -2/22-3/12/10
* New Company Driver Sign On Bonus will be $1000 = $250 on first check and $750 after 90 days Valid Through - 3/15/10 - 3/26/10
* New Owner Operator Sign On Bonus = $750, $500 on first settlement and $250 after 90 days - Valid Through - 4/2/10

Barr-Nunn Offers New Northeast Hometime Fleet
Granger IA- (July 14, 2009) — Barr-Nunn Transportation, Inc. recently created the Northeast Hometime Fleet, a new fleet option for company drivers and Owner-Operators living in the Northeast to run over-the-road and be home three out of four weekends.
“We are always looking at ways to improve the quality of life for our drivers on the road. This new fleet option will allow more home time while providing quality miles in a reduced running area,” says Jay Shiek, Director of Operations for Barr-Nunn.
With the addition of the Northeast Hometime Fleet, Barr-Nunn now offers more than 10 different fleet options for company drivers and Owner-Operators to choose from. These fleets consist of Regional, Hometime and OTR options in the Midwest, Southeast, East and East Central United States.
