Air Gas
Airgas is the largest distributor of industrial, medical and specialty gases and related equipment and the third largest distributor of safety supplies in the United States. Airgas' Integrated Distribution Network, or "One Airgas", consists of over 700 locations in 44 states, Canada and Mexico and includes full-service branch stores, state-of-the-art packaged gas fill plants and specialty gas laboratories, regional distribution centers for welding hardgoods, safety supplies and MRO products, and inbound and outbound telemarketing capabilities. Airgas is also the United States' largest producer of acetylene gas, the fourth largest producer of carbon dioxide, the largest producer and distributor of dry ice, and the second largest producer of nitrous oxide. Additionally, the Company operates two air separation facilities for the production of oxygen, nitrogen and argon.
A key component of the One Airgas mission is "to be the low cost supplier of its products and services through a state-of-the-art, multi-channel distribution system of fast-fill cylinder plants, branch-based customer service facilities and direct regional distribution centers." The result is an Integrated Distribution Network that delivers to Airgas' customers a comprehensive product offering supported by a national distribution network that provides local delivery, service, and technical support. The Integrated Distribution Network is a powerful tool for helping Airgas' customers manage their supply chains.
