DRIVER HIRING QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM STANDARDS

• 23 years of age, minimum
• Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement
• Must have 12 months of verifiable OTR tractor/trailer experience within the last two years or six months within the last year with a major carrier
• No more than one major preventable accident within the past three years (a major accident, is any accident with personal injury and/or damages greater than $5,000.00 and/or a fatality). No more than two minor preventable accidents within the past three years, neither of which occurred within the past six months.
• No more than three moving violations withing the past three years. None within the last six months.
• No more than two excessive speeding violations within the past three years (16 mph to 25 mph above posted limit in a CMV).
• No felony convictions!

The following violations are prohibited withing the prior 5 years:

• DUI, DWI, OWI, failed chemical test, implied consent; non commercial.
• Reckless, careless, or negligent driving.
• Speed contest or exhibition (drag racing or squealing tires).
• Fleeing or eluding a law enforcement/officer.
• Leaving the scene of an accident.
• Opeating a motor vehicle while suspended as a result of a moving violation(s).

The following violations in a CMV are prohibited for life:

• Possession of drugs or alcohol.
• DWI, DUI, OWI, failed chemical test, or implied consent.
• Leaving the scene of an accident.
• Reckless, careless, or neglegent driving.
• Commission of a felony using a CMV.
• Fleeing or eluding law enforcement.

Must pass a U.S. D.O.T. physical examination and substance abuse screening. D.O.T. physical within 1 year of expiration may be approved by company official. Must pass Human Performance Evaluation (HPE).
Must successfully complete company orientation and pass road test.
Must be able to operate in Canadian provinces with no restrictions.
