K. J. Transportation, Inc. is always looking for qualified drivers. We have opportunities for Northeast regional drivers. K. J. Transportation is a family-oriented company where every employee is like one of the family.


Driver Requirements

Drivers must meet the following qualifications prior to hire:

* Possess a valid CDL-A with Haz-Mat endorsement
* For insurance reasons, driver must be at least 23 years of age at the time of hire
* Must have a valid D.O.T. physical (long form) with expiration date at least 6 months from date of hire.
* Must have 3 year verifiable work history without gaps in employment.
* Acceptable verifications of past employment must be obtained
* Must have documented safe driving record, without excessive moving violations and/or accidents
* No DWI less than 5 years old
* No positive drug test/alcohol test less than 5 years old
* Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
* Must pass a road evaluation prior to hire
* Must complete 2 1/2 day orientation


Benefits for our Regional Drivers:

To accomplish K. J. Transportation's goal of providing our employees with a comprehensive employee benefit package that meets the needs of our employees and their families, we offer the following:

* Medical: This health insurance is through Covenant. All full-time employees are eligible on the 1st of the month following 90 days of employment.

* Dental: This is also through Covenant, and all full-time employees are eligible on the first of the month following 90 days of employment. Weekly rates for this coverage start as low as $2.39 per week.

* Group Life Insurance: This Term Life Insurance at $15,000 is provided for employees plus double indemnity in case of accidental death. This is 100% employer paid! Employees are eligible for this on the first of the month following 90 days of employment.

* Disability Insurance: Employees contribute .60 per week and are then eligible for a benefit of 60% of pay to a maximum of $170 per week.

* Voluntary Long Term Disability: This voluntary benefit provides up to 60% of income. Rates vary by age and the amount of benefit.

* Voluntary Additional Term Life Insurance: This is a voluntary life plan where employees may purchase additional protection through the convenience of payroll deduction. Spousal benefits are also available. A children
