Driver for Barr-Nunn Transportation

Barr-Nunn Transportation currently has opening for both Owner Operators and Company Drivers. We offer Over-the-Road, Regional and Hometime fleets in different areas throughout the Eastern half of the United States.

Barr-Nunn has also recently created a Lease PURCHASE Program for drivers looking for an honest way to lease a truck they can actually own in less than 28 months. There are no credit checks and no balloon payments at the end. This program does require a small down payment, but very little is required up front out of your pocket.

Barr-Nunn has extended its OTR hiring area to include a 25-mile radius of Detroit, MI (along with all areas South of I-94 in MI). We are also now hiring from the states of Mississippi and Arkansas (within 75 miles of Memphis, TN) for over-the-road positions.
 
Syracuse, NY (25-mile radius) and locations along I-81 from Scranton, PA to Syracuse are now eligible for our Northeast Regional fleet. This includes Binghamton, NY and Corland, NY as well as Scranton, PA.
 
Savannah, GA (25-mile radius) has also been added to our hiring area for Southeast Regional.

Below are few of the highlights from our pay and benefits packages:

  • Starting Regional Pay = $.50/mile with hazmat or $.48 without hazmat

Company Driver Band Pay:

• 401 – 550 miles = $.41 per practical mile
• 301 – 400 miles = $.42 per practical mile
• 201 – 300 miles = $.43 per practical mile
• 101 – 200 miles = $.49 per practical mile
• 001 – 100 miles = $.88 per practical mile

• Band Pay (Extra pay for shorter length of haul)
• $312.50 Appreciation Bonus every 60,000 miles for Company Drivers
• Owner Operators will receive performance bonuses totaling $3200 for the first 120,000 miles and $3900 every 120,000-mile increment thereafter. Bonuses will be paid to owners in equal installments ($800 - $975) every 30,000 miles!

  Our Owner Operators (OTR) are averaging $1.24 Per Practical Mile on all miles including fuel surcharge (week of 5/10/10). Barr-Nunn Pays $.94 - $1.91 per mile plus fuel surcharge on all complete loads!
