Cimarron Express, Inc. is a contract truckload carrier with operating authority between 48 contiguous states and Ontario, Canada. Our primary operating area is Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Ontario. Our primary customer base is Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Corporation, General Motors Corporation, Detroit Diesel Corporation. Cimarron is located approximately 10 miles southeast of Toledo, Ohio.
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR INFORMATION
PAY: Mileage pay. We offer both dedicated lanes, usually at $.80/mile (some lanes more) and premium mileage pay for open board freight moves of $.85/mile. Dedicated drivers can also earn a MONTHLY BONUS of one cent per mile for hauling all assigned freight. ADDITIONAL QUARTERLY BONUS of ˝ cent per mile for no log violations.
SIGN ON BONUS: $350 paid at 90 days of service. REFERRAL BONUS: $250, $50 paid to referring driver when first wheel is turned, remainder paid after 90 days of service.
TOLLS: All approved toll roads and bridge fees are reimbursed.
PERMITS: Cimarron pays all permits.
INSURANCE: Truck owner must carry bob-tail/non-trucking liability, combined single limit BI & PD - $500,000 minimum. Use your own agent, or let us refer you to an agent with a Cimarron group discount.
APPORTIONED PLATE: This is a truck owner responsibility.
FUEL/ROAD TAX: Cimarron calculates quarterly based on actual tractor mileage. Truck owner pays through weekly fuel tax deduction (usually $39).
FUEL PROGRAM: Through Com-Data after two weeks of service.
DRIVERS: Must be at least 23 years old with 1 ˝ years OTR verifiable experience in the last three years, pass a DOT physical and drug screen, possess a valid CDL – class A license, and have an acceptable driving record (Canadians must supply a current driver abstract, CVOR drivers abstract and criminal search – No more than 30 days old).
TRACTORS: 1993 or newer. Must have a DOT approved sleeper and tandem axles and pass a Cimarron safety inspection. Cimarron will install Qualcomm at our expense in your truck, your cost is only a $10 per week communication fee.
SAFETY INSPECTIONS: Initial tractor safety inspection provided free of charge. Cimarron can arrange quarterly safety inspections at a discounted rate of $25.00 or truck owner can utilize any inspector of his/her choice that is approved by Cimarron.
PHYSICALS: Owner operators must pay for their own physical on approved day of examination. Physicals performed for drivers working for Cimarron fleet owners will be charged to Cimarron and immediately deducted from the fleet owner’s settlement.
DRUG SCREENS: Billed to Cimarron, deducted from owner operator or Fleet owner’s settlement.
