Ambassadors of the Road Program

The purpose of this program is to reward drivers for being excellent representatives of Rinchem. An excellent ambassador of Rinchem will drive safely and courteously. He will also be a great representative to customers in service and appearance. Rinchem realizes that its profitability and reputation rides on its frontline employees and drivers. Rinchem believes that it has some of the best drivers that America has to offer, and it wants the world to recognize this.

How the program works: The program recognizes the safe miles driven and the loyalty given to Rinchem from the drivers during those miles. Every mile driven will add to a driver’s total, except the miles driven during a quarter in which a driver loses his safety bonus in accordance with the conditions of the safety bonus program. If a driver does get into an accident, receives a traffic citation, or gets shut down he will lose the miles driven during that quarter as counting towards his total miles driven. For example: If driver A runs 144,000 miles during 2004, but gets a ticket in May. The miles driven during the months of April, May, and June will not be counted towards his next reward. If he drove 36,000 miles during those three months, his end of year total counting towards the Ambassador reward program will be 108,000 miles. In addition an Ambassador is also good with customers and other Rinchem employees. If Rinchem receives a validated complaint about a driver, that driver will lose 12,000 miles towards his total miles. There are maintenance issues that a driver has no control over, but if a driver is shut down for something he does have control over (example: a missing mud flap that should have been caught by the driver walk around) the driver will also lose his miles towards the safe driving mark in that quarter. All these issues affect Rinchem’s safety rating, thus it impacts the safe driving program. If a driver is put on probation, no miles he drives will be counted towards the safe driving total miles until he is off probation.
