The Michelin Man gets social at the Great American Trucking Show - GATS
The Great American Trucking Show is getting ready to hit the scene again in Dallas, Texas Aug. 26-28. Social media looks like it will start playing a role in the normal GATS showcase & booth displays. Michelin America's Truck Tires has announced they plan to get social with trucking companies and roll out the red carpet to their social media showcase at their booth.
You'll find Michelin Americas Truck Tires (MATT) booth at #14077. If you stop by and visit the booth you won't only be able to interact with company officials and learn of new offerings from the Michelin product line but you'll be presented with a meet and greet with the Michelin Man himself.
Michelin Man Gets Social
Step on up up to get your picture or video with the Michelin man. You aren't going to be walking away with a shiny new picture of you and the Michelin man but you'll get the experience of being broadcast onto Michelin's social media properties on Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. The plan is all the pictures and video will be shared through the online social media sites to drive up engagement and get customers comfortable with communicating and finding Michelin online in the social media sphere.
“The Great American Trucking Show has always been a place to connect with others in the trucking industry,” said Jaye Young, country marketing manager, MATT. “Utilizing these social media platforms is just one more way for us to enhance these interactions during the show and then continue interacting with our customers after the show has ended.”
So while it used to be a quick booth interaction and then the next booth was up, you'll be able to continue your conversation with Michelin and keep on top of their efforts to be the best in the tire business in trucking and all the other niches they cover. Headquartered in Greenville, S.C., Michelin North America (www.michelintruck.com) employs 20,900 and operates 18 major manufacturing plants in 16 locations. Michelin boasts producing tires not only for the trucking industry but also for every type of vehicle, including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles, earthmovers, farm equipment, heavy-duty trucks, motorcycles and the space shuttle.
